Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist near Attalla, AL. This assignment provides the chance to work across three school sites, all conveniently located near one another, allowing you to collaborate with dedicated educators and make a direct impact on students’ communication skills. The position is scheduled to begin on August 12, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027.
You’ll enjoy a structured weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, spread over five days, and will serve a diverse caseload spanning elementary to high school students. This role accommodates SLPs at various career stages, including CCC, CFY, and those experienced in pediatrics or healthcare settings who want school-based exposure.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience or clinical fellowship in schools, pediatrics, or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on-site across three nearby schools
- Flexibility to support students with varied speech-language needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and families
- Maintain meticulous student records and progress data
- Provide support and resources to educators to enhance student communication success
