MDW Associates is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Advisor to provide strategic leadership and expertise in federal government business operations and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of federal processes, policies, and best practices, coupled with a proven ability to drive organizational success and efficiency. The position is located in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Senior Advisor may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to enhance business operations and organizational performance within federal agencies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of organizational structures, processes, and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing tailored solutions.
- Develop and oversee strategic plans, performance metrics, and initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and achieve program goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of business operations and organizational effectiveness strategies.
- Lead change management efforts, including stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and training programs, to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Analyze federal policies, regulations, and mandates to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in federal government operations, with a focus on business operations, organizational effectiveness, or related disciplines.
- Deep understanding of federal regulations, processes, and organizational frameworks.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, performance management, and process improvement.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving organizational change.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Certification in organizational effectiveness, project management (e.g., PMP), or Six Sigma.
- Experience working with multiple federal agencies or interagency collaborations.
- Familiarity with federal procurement and budgeting processes.
Education Requirements:
- Candidates for this position must possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Candidates for this position must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
