Interim Healthcare of Birmingham is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home therapy services to patients across the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa areas. If you enjoy working independently, building meaningful relationships with patients, and helping people regain mobility and independence, we would love to hear from you.

This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive per-visit pay , making it ideal for PTAs looking to supplement their current schedule or transition into home health.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Assist patients with mobility, balance, strength training, and therapeutic exercises

• Monitor patient progress and report updates to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Document visits and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Alabama Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program

• Current CPR certification

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Home health experience is a plus, but not required
