Production

Ambassador has a great opportunity for talented, motivated individuals to fill multiple Production Worker positions in the Birmingham area!

Primary duties for Production Worker include, but are not limited to:

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists
• Pack and store materials and products.
• Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures.

Experience and Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to work ANY shift (flexible), overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have physical ability and strength to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to communicate, work in a team environment and follow work and safety instructions.
• Ability to routinely move product and/or containers between equipment processes.
• Ability to perform tasks at a rate equal to production standards.
• Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus but not necessary. Training will be provided.
