Manufacturing Maintenance/Electrical Technician

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician/Electrician to maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery, such as conveying systems, production machinery, and packaging equipment, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment and systems are safe and functioning properly. Maintenance Electrician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing new production equipment.
• Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
• Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
• Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
• Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

• Maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
• Install and maintain wire and cable, circuit breakers, and fixtures
• Maintain electrical systems
• Use hand and power tools
• Work the switchboard
• Inspect electrical systems and components

Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs of electrical equipment; install and control electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; understand and follow safety procedures and policies
• Maintain and repair natural gas and propane systems
• Install and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Replace and repair electrical wiring
• Identify and test electrical components
• Install and maintain electrical equipment
• Maintain and repair electrical systems

Requirements And Skills:

• Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and report writing skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
• Good time-management skills.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance electrical work
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to interact with customers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends if needed
