Operations Lead - Stone Department: Our client in Pelham, AL is seeking a reliable and experienced Operations Lead to join their Stone Department. This hands-on role requires a team-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and background in the stone industry. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a stone-cutting saw, along with leadership skills to assist the team and maintain a smooth production flow. This position involves heavy lifting, frequent walking, and working in a fast-paced shop environment. Candidates should have basic computer skills, solid customer service, and a team player attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a stone-cutting saw for countertop fabrication
• Lift and transport heavy stone slabs and materials as needed
• Supervise daily workflow in the stone department and assist team members
• Monitor safety practices and help maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure efficient production
• Use basic computer skills to send emails, check schedules, and manage simple digital tasks
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when interacting with clients or vendors
• Train or assist newer team members; demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork
• Move regularly throughout the facility – this is a physically active role requiring walking and standing for extended periods

Pay Rate:

• $20-$35/hour (Depends on experience)

Shift Schedule:

• Monday-Friday; 7:00AM-4:00PM.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with stone countertops
• Experience operating a stone-cutting saw
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely and consistently throughout the shift
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Comfortable using a computer to send emails and manage basic tasks
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Dependable and punctual, with good attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
