About the Role:

The Lawn & Landscape position at Links at Tuscaloosa Apartments is a vital role focused on maintaining and enhancing the outdoor environment of the residential community to ensure a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere for residents and visitors. This role involves the care, upkeep, and improvement of lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas, contributing directly to the overall curb appeal and resident satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to implement landscaping plans, perform routine maintenance, and address any landscaping issues promptly. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to preserve the health and appearance of plantings and outdoor spaces throughout all seasons. Ultimately, this position supports the community’s reputation and value by creating and sustaining an attractive, safe, and enjoyable outdoor living environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in landscaping, horticulture, or related field.
• Knowledge of local plant species, soil types, and pest management.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations related to landscaping.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to maintain neat and tidy grounds.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and prune shrubs, trees, flowers, and other landscaping elements according to seasonal needs and landscape plans.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify and address pest, weed, and disease issues in the landscape, coordinating with pest control services as needed.
• Assist with seasonal cleanups, mulching, leaf removal, and other tasks to prepare the grounds for changing weather conditions.
• Collaborate with property management to schedule and prioritize landscaping projects and respond to resident requests related to outdoor areas.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines while performing landscaping duties.

The required skills enable the candidate to efficiently perform daily landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and equipment operation, ensuring the grounds are consistently well-maintained.
