Choices of Alabama is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Compensation This opportunity is available due to the departure of a long-standing provider. The incoming provider will assume an established client caseload, ensuring continuity of care and a full schedule from day one. This position is offered as an Independent Contractor (1099). Providers receive 80% of collected revenue, with Choices of Alabama retaining 20% to cover administrative services, billing, scheduling, credentialing, office operations, and practice support. This arrangement allows you to enjoy the benefits of private practice while avoiding the expense and administrative burden of managing your own office.

Our experienced team of therapists works collaboratively with our medication provider to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.

Qualifications Psychiatrist

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Alabama medical license

OR Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

• Current PMHNP certification
• Alabama APRN license
• DEA registration

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of independent outpatient PMHNP experience.
  
• Current Alabama CRNP license and active DEA registration.
• Experience managing ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and prescribing Schedule II controlled substances.
• Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric medication treatment with minimal supervision after orientation.
