Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Lead, supervise, and develop multiple teams within the heavy machine and fabrication shop.
• Implement and enforce rigorous safety procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage labor resources to maximize productivity and maintain high-quality standards.
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders, particularly on projects involving moveable bridges, locks and dams, and miter gates.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, including Haas, Okuma, horizontal and vertical boring mills, and lathes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain accurate records and utilize Microsoft Office 365 for reporting and communication.
• Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial management, or business (required).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in plant management, supervision, or related leadership roles.
• At least 15 years of hands-on CNC machine shop experience, preferably within AISC-associated industries.
• Experience working with Army Corps of Engineers and Department of Transportation projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 standards is preferred.
• Proficiency with CNC machinery, including Haas, Okuma, horizontal and vertical boring mills, and lathes.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Demonstrated ability to manage heavy machine and fabrication shops efficiently.
• Proven track record of labor management and productivity improvement.
• Recognized reputation within the industry, with preference for candidates known by customers in relevant markets.
• Exceptional management, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
