Scruggs Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year.

Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator to create a positive learning environment that inspires students to reach their full potential while building strong foundational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and achievement
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student success
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families
• Participate in professional development and school activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Alabama teaching certification or ability to obtain
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to Christian education and our school mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous elementary teaching experience
• ACSI certification or willingness to obtain
• Technology integration skills
