Position Description: Job Title: PipelayerJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The Pipelayer is responsible for installing, assembling, connecting, and maintaining underground piping systems for water, sewer, drainage, and storm systems. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in outdoor and trench environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall underground pipes for water, sewer, storm drain, and utility systemsLay out pipe routes following blueprints, grade stakes, and specificationsPrepare trenches to ensure proper depth and alignmentPosition and secure pipes, fittings, valves, and hydrantsCheck slopes and pipe alignment using laser levels and grade rodsSeal pipe joints using gaskets, glue, cement, or other approved materialsBackfill trenches and compact soil after installationOperate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safelyAssist heavy equipment operators with pipe placementFollow all OSHA and company safety regulationsPerform general site cleanup and maintenanceQualifications13 years of experience in underground utility construction preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakesKnowledge of pipe systems, fittings, and installation techniquesUnderstanding of trench safety and excavation standardsAbility to work in various weather conditionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsValid drivers license (preferred)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 5075 pounds regularlyFrequent bending, kneeling, standing, and climbingAbility to work in trenches and confined spacesComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsWork EnvironmentOutdoor construction sitesExposure to noise, heavy equipment, dust, and weather elementsMay require overtime, weekendsThe applicant must already have experience with drainage, sewer and waterlines. $19.00 - $22.00 Hourly
