Your future role
- Design electrical systems and equipment for innovative industrial packaging machines
- Ensuring compliance with applicable electrical standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Preparing accurate cost and material estimates for projects
- Providing technical support and guidance to manufacturing team members during installation and troubleshooting
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and define new product development opportunities
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability
- Design and develop safety programs for automation systems including robotics
- Review and validate safety performance level of control systems
- Technical recommendations to ensure seamless integration of third-party equipment
Required skills
- At least 3 years of proven experience working in an industrial automation manufacturing environment
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field with a focus on the manufacturing of automated industrial machinery
- Knowledge in electrical engineering principles, standards, and practices such as NFPA, UL, and NEC
- Strong proficiency with CAD software such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
- Familiarity with automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols
- Ability to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical systems to ensure proper operation of machines
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with the ability to think critically
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
