Bureau Veritas North America is looking for Coating and Painting Inspectors for the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

· Review of applicable Inspection Test Plans, Quality Plan and Procedures.

· Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc.)

· Selection of the most appropriate inspection techniques

· Execution of inspection according to pre-defined Quality Plan, and to the established inspection procedures / techniques

· Execution of inspection reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables

· Ensuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality System

· Interpretation of results of inspections

· Treatment of non-conformities / corrective actions

· Review and appraisal of inspection procedures

· Maintaining internal communication

· Promotes Bureau Veritas service portfolio to clients

· Respects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environment

· Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)

· Monitor Electrical/Instrumentation Activities as per approved procedures and relevant Codes / Standards.

· Inspection of Electrical/Instrumentation Activities according to relevant Codes

· Prepare inspection reports on time and submit them.

Requirements:

· Executes specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.

· Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to the Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.

· Control of storage and certification of consumables.

· Performs qualifications of coating processes.

· Checks surface preparation.

· Checks and record atmospheric conditions prior to starting painting operations.

· Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.

· Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.

· Verifies the correct color-coding and painting.

· Performs visuals inspections.

· Performs adhesion testing.

· Performs penetration testing.

· Evaluates impact testing.

· Performs visual checks after blasting
