Job Tile: Payroll Coordinator

Reports To: Payroll Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: Birmingham, AL

Pay Rate: $20.05 an hour

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for various areas. This position coordinates payroll functions on a daily basis to ensure that employees are paid on a timely basis. This position reports into the Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process biweekly payroll
• Process PANs for all LOA’s and other payroll changes and personnel matters
• Monitor and track all employees on LOA status and their benefits
• Calculate timesheets for employees
• Coordinate with Payroll Supervisor in the entire payroll process
• Enter into Excel all the daily timesheets, extracurricular and non-revenue hours
• Transmit all the information to the Payroll Supervisor and preview the payroll
• Provide information for audits such as Worker's Compensation, 401(k), etc.
• Assist with retrieving specific information for legal claims
• Prepare standard miscellaneous reports for management
• Assist employees and outside agencies in requests for personnel/payroll records
• Coordinate HR and administrative functions for the locations, including processing all new hires
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent payroll experience; Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a HR related field is a plus
• Experience working within a payroll or HRIS system

• Familiar with payroll processes, procedures, timesheets
• Intermediate Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Willingness to work as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Self-Starter
• Able to adapt an adjust to new policies and procedures
