What You'll Do

  • Perform whatever duties may arise in other disciplines as the need and their skill level allow
  • Ability to input and extract data from QMOS as it pertains to their position
  • Be able to select and pull selected/needed rolls from inventory according to procedures
  • Competent in all areas of the roll and guide shop which includes the tear down and buildup of all conventional stands, universal stands, Birdsboro break down rolls, entry and delivery guides, and Danieli breakdown stands
  • Basic understanding of rolling operation
  • Must be able to interact well with both upstream and downstream disciplines to ensure smooth a flow in shop and operations so the get what they need
  • Follow standard procedures during routine work but also have the ability to adapt to situations while ensuring that all safety precautions are used
  • Troubleshoot and correct or identify problems or potential problems related to stands and or bases prior to being placed in service
  • Correctly assemble and disassemble mill stands in a safe and timely manner to insure minimal delays in production
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints, contribute to the team effort and see the big picture
  • Ability to mentor and train others
  • Participate in CMC Safety culture and training on a regular basis.
  • Clean and repair roll stand and guide equipment
  • Attentiveness - leadman needs to be able to pay attention to all details

What You'll Need

  • Basic computer skills
  • Work on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidays
  • Some overtime will be required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
  • Ability to work in extreme heat
  • Competent in the use of all robots
  • Competent in all areas of the roll and guide shop which includes the tear down and buildup of all conventional stands, universal stands, Birdsboro break down rolls, entry and delivery guides, and Danieli breakdown stands
  • Able to pull correct roll sets from inventory

Your Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
