The Asset Coordinator supports the Manager-Fixed Asset and Tribal Finance Leadership by helping oversee, track, and maintain tribal government-owned assets, including inventory, land, buildings, equipment, natural resources, and investments. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, asset stewardship, compliance, and collaboration across departments to support organizational goals, transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability. - Maintain accurate records and inventory of tribal assets, including facilities, equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Track asset condition, maintenance activities, utilization, and lifecycle data.
- Support asset inspections, audits, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with asset acquisitions, disposals, reporting, and documentation.
- Coordinate asset-related projects, maintenance schedules, and recordkeeping activities.
- Prepare asset reports and provide support for grant reporting and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with tribal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to support effective asset stewardship.
- Provide excellent customer service and perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in asset coordination, administrative support, or government operations required. Tribal government experience preferred.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to Federal grants, contracts, programs, and funding sources preferred.
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
- Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Knowledge of asset tracking systems, financial reporting, and basic accounting or budgeting principles.
- Experience with asset management tools such as spreadsheets, databases, or GIS systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and community stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and adapt communication style to different audiences and situations.
- Willingness to work in field environments and travel between locations as needed (up to 80%).
- Demonstrated professionalism, cultural awareness, and commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
