Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Banquet Houseman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of events by efficiently setting up and breaking down banquet spaces, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional customer service. The Banquet Houseman will work collaboratively with various departments to create outstanding experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup & Breakdown:
Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary equipment. Ensure that all banquet areas are set in a timely and organized manner, adhering to the event schedule.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet facilities, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Regularly inspect and clean equipment and furnishings, reporting any damages or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Customer Service: Provide excellent service to guests during events, responding promptly to requests and ensuring a positive experience.
Assist guests with seating arrangements, provide information about menu items, and offer support as needed throughout events.
Collaboration & Communication: - Work closely with the Banquet Manager, catering team, and other staff to coordinate seamless event operations. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure that all logistical needs are met.
- Support the setup of bars or buffet areas, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
