Basic Job Functions: Nucor Tubular Products Decatur is seeking applicants for the Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician position. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by performing routine preventative maintenance, addressing breakdowns and assisting in upgrades as necessary to improve the reliability of the equipment and process during normal production hours. Duties include but are not limited to minor/extensive repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgement, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHA's, SJP's, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained, all of which are necessary for meeting job expectations and the prevention of downtime. General mechanical and electrical knowledge is necessary. We are not offering sponsorship for this position at this time. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance with a minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance or 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and off shifts.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding, pumps, drive systems, and conveyors.
- Experience with industrial mechanical and electrical predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments.
- Multi-craft experience (electrical and mechanical)
- Steel making/steel products manufacturing experience
- Qualified welding certification
- Qualified millwright certification
- Vibration analysis
- Crane maintenance experience
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E
- Siemens S7 and TIA Portal experience
- Siemens VFD experience
- Knowledge of LOTOTO
