As a Security Officer Unarmed Government Patrol in Talladega, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. Pay Rate: $14.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
• Document and communicate incidents and/or irregularities to Allied Universal management and client representatives according to established procedures.
• Assist visitors, staff, and/or contractors with access and provide directions as needed while maintaining site protocols.
• Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
