Professional Civil Engineer

Job Description:

Applicants must have graduated from an accredited University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or possess extensive design experience related to civil, utilities, land development, or structural detailing. A minimum of 5 years of continuous experience is preferred. Licensure as a Florida Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain registration is preferred.The candidate must have experience in land development and public works projects, possessing excellent design skills in site planning, grading, drainage, and stormwater design, as well as experience with construction document preparation and specifications. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with street and utility (water and sanitary sewer) design, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.Responsibilities will include managing and executing civil design projects from concept through to the construction process, with the ability to organize and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. This position will work with Professional Engineering staff under the direction of the VP of Engineering.Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study, OR suitable substitute experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil design beyond the degree, OR 10+ years of experience in the field.Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ICPR, and related modeling software.Capable of attending and engaging in meetings with clients, owners, contractors, etc., positively and productively.Possess a strong work ethic and demonstrated efficiency obtained through prior experience.
