Position Summary:

Supports the productive processes of machining and assembly areas by maintaining all the equipment running in order to fulfill customer requirements. Provides effective service to production areas in order to achieve key indicators target.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides service in the machining and assembly areas by maintaining all equipment running and taking a hands-on approach to solving equipment problems

Maintains a close communication with the production responsible of each area in order to understand priorities and provide them with an effective support.

Requests support from specialized personnel in a timely manner avoiding unnecessary affections to production and maintenance indicators.

Makes sure that all maintenance tasks are done with quality, respecting safety, environmental standards, and legal compliance aligned to HSE requirements.

Gives follow up to the continuous production processes in the machining and assembly areas, employing properly the available administrative tools (SAP, M.E.S., Qlik view, Qdoc, amongst others.)

Supports the preventive maintenance process by informing detected opportunities on the equipment and also, with available personnel to perform extra tasks when it’s possible.

Contributes to improve the machining and assembly maintenance KPI’s such as repair time, preventive routines accomplishment, MTTR, MTBF and maintenance costs.

Evaluates the machining and assembly areas equipment condition detecting potential failures and safety issues in a timely manner providing an efficient and secure equipment operation.

Uses and respects work instructions and standardized methods to realize special adjustments/tasks on the machining and assembly equipment (e.g. renishaw, geometric study, lineal bearings exchange, etc.)

Works aligned to the main BOCAR’s strategic initiatives (BOS, BQOS, 10 QB, Internal audit requirements) being an example for the rest of the department members.

Participates in internal trainings of different machining and assembly equipment, growing in knowledge and skills and sharing them with the technical personnel.

Manages and administers the maintenance personnel under his charge distributing workload and monitoring compliance with safety regulations and adherence to plant procedures and standards.

Education/Experience/Training (minimum required):

Requires a Degree in Electro mechanics /Mechatronics , or 3-5 years’ experience in CNC and assembly automated equipment or a related field.

Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and/or electronic and electric systems.

Knowledge of installed equipment is a plus (Chiron, Grob, Heller, KMS, Durr, Silberhorn, etc).

Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
