This opportunity is for an Assembly Technician supporting hands-on manufacturing operations in Childersburg, AL. It is an excellent match for candidates with assembly experience, manufacturing exp, or mechanical aptitude, including those comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools. In this role, you will assemble parts and components by following work instructions and production standards. You’ll be working in a team-based production environment where attention to detail, reliability, and consistency are important. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and desires steady manufacturing work close to home.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to instructions.
• Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and correctly.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks.
• Work on your feet in a production or assembly environment.
• Support daily production goals and safety requirements.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing, or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with pneumatics, hand tools, or basic wiring.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• Basic knowledge of torque specs and fastener types.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing setting operating Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 5 pm. You will be working with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Childersburg, AL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
