Do you love working with children and creating a fun, engaging learning environment? Were looking for a compassionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to support our classroom team and help young learners grow, explore, and thrive.
Position Summary
The Child Development Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and lesson implementation
- Supervise children to ensure safety at all times
- Support childrens social, emotional, and physical development
- Engage children in play-based learning activities
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with staff and families
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and personal care as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (early childhood education coursework preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, bending, sitting on the floor, etc.)
- Must be able to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
