Job Title: Travel Medical Technologist (MT/MLS)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Evenings | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Varies)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week (Guaranteed)
On-Call: None
Compensation: $1,600 – $1,870 Gross Weekly (Based on Experience)
Note: No local candidates within 50 miles

A leading acute-care hospital in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Travel Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to join its high-volume laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical laboratory experience, particularly in large hospital settings, and be comfortable working with complex samples and performing detailed differentials.

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis

• Conduct manual and automated differentials with high accuracy

• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including Sysmex and CellaVision systems

• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting

• Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures

• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and hospital policies

• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding critical values

• Document results and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical laboratory experience

• Active ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification (Required)

• Must hold credentials as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

• Experience working with Sysmex and CellaVision systems

• Large hospital lab experience preferred (600+ bed facility)

• Strong experience with differentials and complex patient samples

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and environments

• Professional communication and teamwork skills
