Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available to provide specialized services within a school setting, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role requires dedication to delivering therapeutic interventions that enhance student mobility and participation across all district sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing physical therapy assessments and treatments to K-12 students
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized therapy plans
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant educational and healthcare regulations
- Traveling between district sites to deliver services effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based therapy
- Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy practices and developmental milestones
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Position Details:
- Location: Pelham, AL
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- School hours: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Contract duration: August 6th to November 13th
- Service coverage: All district K-12 sites
