The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a DevSecOps (DSO) Associate Engineer to design, develop, and operate a secure, fullyautomated infrastructure pipeline. This role will support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development. This role will also support DoD STIG compliance, configurationmanagement baselines, and continual technology refresheswhile adhering to the highest cybersecurity standards required for missioncritical systems. The selected candidate will work with Software and System Engineers supporting the C2BMC program for the Missile Defense Agency.

Basic Qualifications:
An Interim Secret Clearance is required for consideration or higher
A DOD IAT Level II certification is required
Completion of coursework or certifications covering DevSecOps concepts, scripting, or cloud infrastructure (e.g., CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Linux Fundamentals, etc.).
experience documenting work in Confluence, wikis, or similar knowledgebase tools.
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code
Experience with either Ansible or Python scripting and basic automation of Windows or Linux hosts.
Experience with containers - Docker/Podman
Desired Skills:
Writing Ansible playbooks/roles, inventory management; Packer image creation (basic Terraform exposure)
Python scripting for API/automation; Bash & PowerShell basics
CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions) with linting, unit tests, security scans
Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift concepts
Git versioncontrol workflow (branching, PRs, code reviews)
Secret storage via HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager
STIG compliance tooling (OpenSCAP/InSpec); track drift & raise tickets
Basic monitoring/alerting (Prometheus/Grafana or ELK)
Documentation in Confluence/Wiki; userguide creation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently on smalltomedium projects and collaborate within a team environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
