Qualifications

• Must be an active Alabama licensed RN or LPN
• Long Term Care experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medication management and pharmacy regulations preferred
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee medication ordering, receiving, and storage in accordance with facility policies and regulations
• Accurately transcribe and verify physician orders
• Conduct routine medication cart audits and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Monitor medication storage, labeling, and expiration dates
• Serve as a liaison between the facility and pharmacy providers
• Identify, report, and help resolve medication discrepancies or variances
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to pharmacy services
• Support nursing staff with medication-related needs and processes
