Facilities Maintenance Technician

Description

• Maintain assigned equipment in proper working order by performance of preventive and corrective maintenance as assigned. This may include machinery, support equipment, or plant structural components. • Possess and maintain the knowledge and ability to repair, design, adjust, or modify assigned mechanical equipment or structural components as needed to carry on daily business of plant operation. • Perform oversight of maintenance or project work being performed by outside service vendors or contractors as assigned. • Repair, design, adjust, or modify assigned equipment, facilities, and associated components necessary to support production in a modern stamping plant. • Thorough working knowledge of plant electrical distribution system, with experience in installation and troubleshooting electrical components. • Must be proficient in basic welding, use of shop equipment, piping, and sheet metal fabrication. • Ability to perform routine plumbing activities. • Ability to perform basic carpentry. • Knowledge and ability to comprehend and complete projects as assigned by use of technical, physical, or mental attributes, as needed. • Ability to support production while maintaining the facility and plant structure in acceptable condition within the bounds of safety.
