EXALTA is seeking a process-driven and people-minded Manager of HR Operations to build the operational foundation that powers our scaling people function. This role sits at the intersection of policy, process, and employee experience — responsible for integrating and elevating how HR works across the organization. You will own the design and execution of HR processes, policies, and practices that create consistency, compliance, and clarity for our employees and managers. As we undergo a full HR integration, your ability to lead through complexity while keeping the employee experience at the center will be essential. This role reports to the Senior Director, HR Operations & Total Rewards.

Key Responsibilities

HR Integration & Process Design

  • Lead the operational workstream of the full HR integration, including harmonizing policies, practices, and employee programs across entities
  • Conduct current-state audits and design future-state HR processes with a focus on clarity, consistency, and scalability
  • Develop integration project plans, timelines, and change management frameworks in partnership with HR leadership
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on HR operational policy, ensuring alignment across business units

Cross-Functional HR Operations

  • Oversee HR operational workflows including onboarding/offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and employment verification
  • Act as the primary HR contact for operational escalations, resolving issues with speed and good judgment
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent employee experiences
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies; translate those findings into improvement initiatives in collaboration with the HRIS Manager

Policy & Compliance

  • Own the development, maintenance, and communication of HR policies and employee handbooks
  • Ensure operational compliance with federal, state, and local employment law; partner with Legal as needed
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all HR operational functions

Systems & Data Partnership

  • Serve as the functional owner of HR data integrity — defining what data is captured, how it flows, and what it means operationally
  • Partner with the HRIS Manager & Analyst to translate operational needs into system configurations, automation opportunities, and reporting requirements
  • Participate in ADP Workforce Now governance, providing business requirements for system changes and enhancements

People Leadership & Culture

  • Model a high-performance, collaborative culture within HR Operations
  • May manage coordinators or specialists as the function grows
  • Champion the employee experience in every operational touchpoint

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong operations focus
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting an HR integration, merger, or large-scale organizational change
  • Deep knowledge of HR policy, employment law, and compliance best practices
  • Strong process design and project management skills; able to move from whiteboard to execution
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now — able to navigate the system, understand data structures, and partner effectively with technical HRIS staff
  • Exceptional communicator — able to translate complex operational concepts for varied audiences
  • High emotional intelligence; thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Measurable improvement in HR process consistency and employee experience
