• State licensing or credentials to serve as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist
• Experience working in school settings, especially with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong knowledge of auditory assistive technology, sign language modalities, and effective communication strategies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, special education staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement instructional modifications
• Conduct functional listening assessments and consult on hearing assistive technology use in the classroom
• Offer training and resources to staff and families, ensuring inclusive communication strategies
• Support student advocacy, social-emotional learning, and academic progress
• Maintain accurate documentation of services delivered and student outcomes
