Senior Cyber Software Engineer (Embedded) Location: Raleigh, NC | Baltimore, MD area | Huntsville, AL Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, implement, and test secure software solutions for embedded systems, autonomous platforms, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Lead development efforts across diverse projects - from cybersecurity engineering tools to advanced simulation environments.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and DoD customers to solve complex technical challenges.
• Apply deep knowledge of software security principles to develop solutions secure software solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities in real-world systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of our technology and company as we scale - with growth opportunities into technical leadership roles.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Security Clearance (any level)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience (C/C++, RTOS, ARM or similar architectures).
• 5+ years of cybersecurity software development experience for embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with design and implementation of security controls across different development platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to implement robust security controls in real-time and constrained environments.
• Proven contributions to security design of DoD programs (e.g., AFRL, ONR, Army Futures Command).
• Expert-level understanding of cybersecurity technologies, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Strong communication skills - capable of presenting to stakeholders, writing technical documents, and contributing to proposals.

Work Environment

• Hybrid role with on-site work required in Raleigh, NC , Baltimore, MD area, or Huntsville, AL .
• Core work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexible work schedules.
