Distribution Center Trainer
Distribution Center Trainer Location Alabaster, AL : 00014 Alabaster Warehouse LE_301 Hibbett Retail, Inc.SUMMARY The Distribution Center Trainer must have the knowledge, skills, and experience to train others on how to safely process and operate in all areas of the warehouse to include operating powered industrial equipment. The Trainer will implement, monitor, plan, and administer training according to warehouse procedures to successfully fulfill all training needs, achieving goals and objectives in multiple distribution areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMust have regular and predictable attendance on the job and must work flexible schedules and shift during the 7-day work week. Must understand the fulfillment/distribution center/warehouse processes and flow. Responsible for training all new team members and existing team members to ensure all team members are cross-trained in multiple areas. Manage the training matrix and ensure it is up to date. Ensure all team members are up to date on any recertification training as needed. Develop and administer a specific test for each operations area that all trainees must pass at the end of the training program to prove that they can work unsupervised. Responsible for certifying and administering the training certification. Maintain all records of training in accordance with OSHA requirements. Conduct and track audits on all trained warehouse team members. Follows safety rules and report all incidents and hazards to management and/or designees. Must have the willingness and ability to be trained and certified on all equipment in the warehouse, including all power equipment, compactor, and baler. Maintains a good attitude and facilitates harmony among workers. Facilitate and be involved with safety audits and ensures safety expectations are met in all areas according to the Safety Manual and SOP Guidelines. Responsible for identifying ways to improve on current training processes and plans. Engage team members to build and maintain a safe culture environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo Supervisory Responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent diploma. One to three years of experience in Training. Minimum six months of training experience required. Forklift training experience preferred and an understanding of multiple areas of the distribution center. Warehouse experience preferred. Proficiency in computer usage, email, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of generally accepted distribution principles. REASONING ABILITYPossess the ability to solve problems encountered in a warehouse distribution work environment. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form. Ability to successfully deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
