Job: Facilities Planner

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Position: Full time

Clearance: Active SECRET IS REQUIRED

Position Requirements:

• Manages the execution of all CPE AVN facility enhancement efforts, works with DPW and RSA Garrison staff on maintaining and improving CPE AVN facilities. Leads all detailed staff coordination and communication actions associated with facilities design, planning and coordination in support of CPE AVN facilities.
• Experience planning, coordinating, communicating, and providing oversight of facilities improvement projects and support efforts ensuring work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, complies with all state and federal regulations, and that work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines.
• Primary point of contact for CPE AVN on all facilities related matters.
• Prepares, coordinates, and manages construction work orders with base Garrison Department of Public Works (DPM) and minor service requests with various vendors. Coordinates maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and the development of facility design renovation plans managing scheduling, contracting and execution.
• Possess extensive knowledge of the Planning, and Execution of Facilities support and working collaboratively with construction contractors and garrison inspectors.
• Develops and coordinates Personnel Move Plans for CPE AVN Project Management Offices (PMOs).
• Develops Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) for new construction and major renovation efforts using tools such as Microsoft Project and Excel, briefs project status to all levels of Government.
• Possess extensive knowledge of the Army staffing, communications, and coordination processes that enable documentation approval for facilities related documentation.
• Renders input in preparation for high-level meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, corporate executives, government action officers, and other vendors. This input may be narrative or charts and should be of a quality that little rework is required by senior analyst or PM.
• Receives reviews, disseminates, consolidates, and reports various facilities related efforts to Redstone Arsenal, CPE AVN, and supported PM Offices.
• Must have experience with utilization of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and facility design software.
• Must have demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BA/ BS in an unrelated field. An AA/AS may be substituted for the BA/ BS when combined with a total of 10 years logistics experience or equivalent work experience.
