We are looking for a skilled Sr. Estimator to join a dynamic team in Birmingham, Alabama. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial oversight and cost management of construction projects. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and expertise in cost estimation and analysis within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and proposals to assess cost implications.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather and validate cost-related data.

• Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to identify competitive pricing.

• Conduct quantity take-offs and maintain comprehensive bid documentation.

• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to project costs and communicate findings effectively.

• Assist in preparing budgets and schedules to ensure project financial goals are met.

• Present cost estimates and related analysis to stakeholders and clients in a clear and thorough manner.

• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the cost estimation process.

• Support the implementation of financial controls and cost monitoring throughout project execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating roles.

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar tools.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable building codes.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial insights to stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
