Job Description

This role requires working collaboratively with experienced demolition personnel, following strict safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Demolition work often requires working outdoors, sometimes at heights, and in varying weather conditions throughout the Panhandle & Lower Alabama on various sites from Panama City Beach, FL to Gulf Shores, AL. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $20 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours: Monday- Friday - 8 hours daily as weather permits
- Locations: Orange Beach, AL, currently. (Alternate positions coming to Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton, Florida, and Orange Beach & Gulf Shores, Alabama areas)
- Assist in the safe and systematic removal of external cladding and panels from buildings, following detailed plans and procedures
- Help identify and manage the removal of materials in the cladding system, requiring adherence to proper safety protocols and disposal methods
- Remove debris, rubble, and discarded cladding materials from the worksite and load them onto vehicles or into designated containers
- Operate hand and power tools safely, including drills, saws, and cutting equipment, as instructed by supervisors
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, staging, and other access equipment
- Help prepare the demolition site by erecting protective fences, barriers, and signage to ensure the safety of workers and the public
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials responsibly and sorting items for recycling or reuse whenever possible
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure smooth coordination of tasks
Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of related experience Previous experience in a construction or demolition environment is a plus
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work takes place outdoors on construction sites
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or elevated work platforms
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to dust, noise, and potentially hazardous materials safely
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is desirable
- Basic Knowledge of Cladding, Framing, Siding, Windows, Doors, and/or Wall Penetrations is desirable
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and tasks
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the residential or multi-family fields are preferred
- Position may require a drug screen
