Snelling is currently recruiting for a Temporary Administrative Assistant for a local government agency dedicated to providing affordable housing in the Birmingham area. This position will support the finance department. The starting pay rate is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, with a first-shift schedule.
In this Temporary Administrative Assistant position, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to the Finance Department, including data entry, filing, and document management
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and presentations
- Handling inquiries and directing them to the appropriate team members
- Coordinating schedules and arranging meetings
- Performing other general office duties as needed
To be successful in this Temporary Administrative Assistant, you should possess:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under deadlines
- Prior experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a finance or accounting environment
