Position Description: A marine estimator's responsibilities include:Cost estimates: Producing cost estimates based on customer specifications
Bid analysis: Managing the analysis of bids
Project budgets: Planning project budgets and tracking expenses
Subcontractor selection: Analyzing competitive quotations to select subcontractors
Outsourcing decisions: Comparing subcontractor to in-house costs to make outsourcing decisions
Production plans: Working with production managers to develop repair or new-build production plansBreaking down all expenses for a ship repair project
Developing craft labor budgets
Resolving technical and schedule issues with subcontractors and material vendors $50,000.00 - $50,000.00 Annually
