We are seeking organized, customer-focused Case Managers to support a federally funded grant Program. In this role, you will manage applicant cases from initial intake through final closeout, ensuring each application is processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with program requirements. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping others, and have strong organizational and communication skills.
This temporary position is expected to last 2–4 months , with the potential for extension. The role is primarily remote for individuals based in the Mobile, Alabama area , with occasional onsite meetings, training, or other business needs as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned applicant cases from intake through program closeout.
- Conduct applicant interviews, review supporting documentation, and determine program eligibility.
- Evaluate and score applications in accordance with established program policies and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate case records and document all applicant interactions within the system of record.
- Prepare and distribute required correspondence, agreements, and other program documentation.
- Communicate professionally with applicants, team members, and program leadership.
- Identify and escalate issues that may affect case progression, compliance, or the applicant experience.
- Follow all program policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with process improvements and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service, administrative, clerical, or case management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate web-based systems and multiple software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to successfully complete background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grant administration or public assistance programs.
- Familiarity with federally funded grant programs.
Compensation
- $23–25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

- Communicate effectively verbally, by telephone, in virtual meetings, and through written and electronic communications.
- Hear and understand conversations, telephone calls, and virtual communications.
- Read and interpret information on computer monitors and printed documents.
- Use computers, multiple software applications, telephones, headsets, and other standard office equipment.
- Sit for extended periods while working in an office or remote office environment.
- Perform repetitive hand and finger movements required for keyboarding and operating office equipment.
- Maintain the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting established deadlines.
- Meet with applicants, clients, or program staff in person or virtually, as required.
- Maintain reliable internet access and a work environment suitable for handling confidential information when working remotely.
