Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Project Duration: Approximately 2 Months

Position Overview

Talent Corps is hiring a skilled Certified Mini Excavator Operator for an active underground electrical construction project in Montgomery Alabama We are looking for a safety-focused operator with experience trenching for underground electrical or utility installations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, experienced in operating mini excavators, and committed to delivering quality work while maintaining a safe job site.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a certified mini excavator to support underground electrical and utility installations.
• Excavate trenches according to project specifications, ensuring proper depth, grade, and slope.
• Safely dig around existing underground utilities and infrastructure.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and all site-specific safety procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors and crew members to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while protecting underground utilities and surrounding property.

Qualifications

• Current Mini Excavator Operator certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating mini excavators or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience with underground electrical, utility, plumbing, or mechanical trenching preferred.
• Ability to read and follow site plans and excavation requirements.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a Federal Background Check.
• Valid Driver's License or REAL ID.
• Proof of current vehicle registration and auto insurance.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding construction work.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Weekly pay.
• Monday through Friday schedule with weekends off.
• Immediate start available.
