Hours are 7:45am-5pm (or last patient completed) Monday through Friday.

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Record patients medical information and vital signs.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
Provide health care, first aid, immunizations.
Prepare rooms, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. No expired supplies.
Assist physician with minor procedures, exams, etc.
Send referrals to specialists as ordered by physicians.
Answer phone calls regarding patients medications, labs, home health, medical questions, etc.
Messages to be returned by the end of each business day.
Check and maintain the E-script dashboard for physicians daily.
Assist Triage in checking for expired medications.
Medication prior authorizations as needed.
Administer injections as ordered by physician.
Administer local, inhalation and nebulizers.
Conduct specified laboratory test and order entry for labs, diagnostic test, pre certifications for diagnostic test, etc.
Conduct self in accordance with Cullman Internal Medicine employee manual.
Maintains strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Adheres to all Compliance guidelines/regulations, OSHA requirements.
Participates in educational activities and attends staff meetings.
Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor as deemed appropriate.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

LPN/RN license required.
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions/ and communicate effectively with others.
Knowledge of computer programs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Must be well organized and detail oriented.
Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires sitting, standing and walking associated with a normal office environment.
Manual dexterity needed for using a computer keyboard.
