Scholar Enrichment Coach - Physical Education

Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. We develop empowered learners through agency, purpose, and tenacity.

In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are actively building a team that shares our belief that with rigorous academics, high-quality instruction, and character development, all students can excel in high school, college, and life.

To achieve our vision, we seek a Scholar Enrichment Coach (Physical Education) who has at least 2 years of college coursework or an Associate’s degree (preferred) and at least 2-3+ years of professional experience working with children in education, youth development, counseling, leadership development, or related fields.

JOIN THE MISSION

As a Scholar Enrichment Coach, you will facilitate physical education and movement-based learning experiences for scholars in grades K–3 while helping them build teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and healthy habits aligned with iPrep’s SOAR with Pride values: Service, Optimism, Agency, Resilience, and Pride.

This role will create joyful opportunities for scholars to develop physically, socially, and emotionally through structured physical activity and play, while contributing to a positive, highly engaging school culture. We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $45,000. Salary is competitive and aligned to experience and internal equity.
