Pastor

Haven Woods Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time senior pastor who is dedicated, Spirit-led to lead our congregation, preach the Word of God, and lead with humility and vision. The pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of the church, providing biblical teaching, pastoral care, and leadership in carrying out the mission of the church to glorify God and make disciples.

Key Responsibilities
• Preaching & Teaching:
• Prepare and deliver Christ-centered sermons rooted in Scripture.
• Lead Bible studies and other teaching opportunities.
• Encourage spiritual growth and discipleship within the congregation.

Pastoral Care:
• Provide counseling, prayer, and guidance for individuals and families.
• Visit members in hospitals, nursing homes, or during times of need.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other church ceremonies.

Leadership & Vision:
• Provide spiritual leadership and direction for the church.
• Work with church leadership to set goals, develop ministries, and guide the congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission. • Mentor and equip ministry leaders, deacons, staff, and volunteers.

Administration & Outreach:
• Collaborate with church staff and leadership on decision-making, budgeting, and planning.
• Encourage and support outreach, evangelism, and community involvement.
• Represent the church in the local community and in denominational or fellowship settings.

Qualifications
• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A strong commitment to the authority of Scripture and sound doctrine.
• Experience in preaching, teaching, and pastoral ministry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead with humility, wisdom, and grace.

Education: Seminary degree or equivalent preferred but not required depending on experience.
