Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for grades K-12
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners and create an inclusive environment
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized learning plans for students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and other support staff
- Assess students’ skills and learning requirements on an ongoing basis
- Maintain accurate records and document students’ progress in compliance with school and state standards
- Foster a supportive atmosphere where all students feel valued and engaged
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
