The Communications Coordinator will expand awareness through the expression of our story.

Time Requirements:

This position will require a minimum of 40 in-office working hours per week. Additional time will be required for special events or under special circumstances.

Travel Requirements:

International travel requirements will be minimal. Domestic travel requirements will vary, but will primarily be within a few hours radius of Vapor HQ.

Position Duties:

The Communications Coordinator will expand awareness through expression of our story.

1. Content Management

• Facilitate the flow of impact stories from centers
• Create and manage systems for content use across multiple channels
• Create blog content
• Manage content storage systems

2. Copywriting

• Create informative and persuasive copy for collateral, proposals, websites, advertising, and other materials.
• Assist Social Media Coordinator with content as needed
• Create effective calls to action tailored to various platforms and audiences

3. Copy Editing

• Ensure accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling in Vapor content
• Maintain consistency in language, brand voice, and tone
• Ensure accuracy in facts and impact data

4. Content Writing

• Write compelling and persuasive impact stories for blog, printed materials, and email marketing
• Write inspirational scripts for videos
• Create engaging articles for LinkedIn
• Draft cross-departmental communications as requested

5. Public Relations

• Draft press releases and coordinate with local media
• Analyze market opportunities and advise on public presence (conference, gatherings, etc.)
• Engage with brand mentions
• Manage negative press
• Acquire media exposure
• Manage reporting for watchdog entities
