Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Headland, AL
Pay: $24.00+/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM (unpaid lunch)
Seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve processing equipment in a fast-paced agricultural manufacturing environment. Candidates must be available for overtime, after-hours call-ins, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment failures
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, power transmission systems, and related processing equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Document maintenance activities and equipment modifications
- Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and performance
- Follow all safety and EHS requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, rigging, welding, cutting, grinding, and equipment alignment
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-speed production environmen
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Work in confined spaces and at heights
- Stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
