About the Role:
As an Automotive Technician at Infiniti of Mobile, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will directly impact the dealership's reputation by delivering high-quality service and timely diagnostics. You will work closely with service advisors and other team members to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine maintenance, and execute complex repairs. This role requires a commitment to continuous learning to stay current with the latest automotive technologies and Infiniti-specific systems. Ultimately, your work will contribute to a seamless customer experience and the long-term reliability of Infiniti vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent technical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with luxury or Infiniti vehicles.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate vehicles safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a dealership environment, specifically with Infiniti or Nissan vehicles.
- Advanced certifications in hybrid or electric vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with Infiniti factory diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on Infiniti vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
- Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service manuals to identify and resolve vehicle issues accurately.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors to provide detailed information on vehicle conditions, repair options, and estimated timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and dealership standards.
Skills:
The required skills enable the technician to accurately diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software is essential for efficient troubleshooting and repair. Preferred skills, such as experience with Infiniti-specific systems and hybrid technologies, enhance the technician's ability to handle advanced vehicle models and emerging automotive trends. Strong communication skills facilitate clear interactions with service advisors and customers, improving service transparency and satisfaction. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities ensure that repairs are thorough and reliable, minimizing repeat visits and enhancing the dealership's reputation.
