Job DescriptionOverview
The Sales Coordinator will deliver an outstanding customer experience through professional communication and timely response. The Sales Coordinator facilitates sales of fire suppression products to new and established customers. Customers communicate with the Sales Coordinator via telephone and email to request quotations, lead times, and delivery options for specific projects. The primary function is to help facilitate sales orders through building and communicating job quotations, prepare orders, transferring pertinent information to customers, as well as being the point person for sales order processing through the facility. This involves organized tracking and continuous follow-up. The Sales Coordinator handles the full project execution through coordination with the sales team, customer, and internal departments. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a customer-centric approach. This role reports directly to the Director of Sales and Customer Support.
Responsibilities
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information to customers in a timely manner.
- Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions, emphasizing services, product features and benefits.
- Provides competitive shipping solutions for preparation of successful quotations.
- Accurately processes customer transactions, such as quotations and orders.
- Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor at all times to team members, customers and vendors.
- Sets up and maintains customer files.
- Fills requests for catalogs, information, or samples.
- Contacts customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and quotation competitiveness.
- Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works effectively with other members of the sales team and departments to help facilitate international orders through the system.
- Attend meetings and prepares reports and updates as needed.
- Assists Management with developing essential strategies for improved sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to properly set and meet customer expectations.
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of Amerex products and services to advise and assist customers and salespeople.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Superb written and oral grammatical skills, sentence structure, spelling, and punctuation.
- Technology proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word), Outlook, Teams, Web portals and applications, and enterprise software (Microsoft AX, D365, SAP, or similar)
- Multi-tasking skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- College degree preferred, minimum high school diploma.
- Three years minimum of relevant experience in an inside sales or customer support role.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with challenging issues and individuals.
- Knowledge of export documentation and international business a plus

Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
