GSS Senior Software Engineer
- Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment
- Develop requirements driven software solutions
- Resolve software issues (debugging) and support verification / test analysis
- Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction
- Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
- Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance which is required to start
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience
- Experience developing software in C++ and Java
- Experience with software development for embedded systems
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
- Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition
- Experience developing using a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System
- Knowledge of various scripting languages and tools: Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Familiarity with build tools: Gradle and/or CMake, etc.
- UI Framework / JavaFX exposure
- Git version control system exposure
- Familiarity utilizing the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye Crucible)
- Familiarity with Software Containerization
- Experience working on CMMI Level 3+ programs
- Security + Certification
