Cage Repair - Live Side
Description
Position at Pilgrim's
Shift Hours: 11a.m. - 8p.m.
Remove old or damaged cage doors and install new replacements
Inspect cages regularly to identify and report damage or wear
Operate (or train to operate) motorized forklifts for material handling
Utilize general hand tools for repairs and maintenance tasks
Perform welding work to reinforce or repair cage structures
Adapt to varying work environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical repair
Welding experience (MIG/TIG or stick welding preferred)
Ability to learn forklift operation (training provided)
Strong attention to detail during inspections and repairs
Physical ability to lift, move, and install cage doors and materials
Flexibility to work in different environments and conditions
