Job Title: Multi-craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Multi-craft Maintenance Technicians for a client in Athens, AL who will be responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance within our facility. This role requires individuals who can effectively manage electrical and mechanical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, conducting necessary repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Change out motors and repair or replace gearboxes, pumps, belts, and bearings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring, and cabling systems.
- Follow a structured preventative maintenance schedule.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with AC/DC systems and variable frequency drives (VFD).
- Ability to work with 480-volt systems and use a multimeter.
- Familiarity with Siemens systems and SAP software.
- Skilled in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in non-climate-controlled environments is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in similar industries such as poultry or plastics manufacturing.

Work Environment
The work environment is not climate-controlled, so experience in similar settings is advantageous. The facility, while older, is undergoing expansion and will feature new, state-of-the-art equipment. The role involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule, with training provided on day shifts Monday through Friday, excluding maintenance day on Tuesday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
